Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT is compulsory for VAT-registered businesses with a taxable turnover above the VAT threshold (currently £85,000) and are required to keep digital VAT business records and submit VAT Return data using HMRC's Making Tax Digital (MTD) service.
